Craighead County Detention Center
Craighead County Detention Center is a 350 person facility which houses men, women and juveniles. This is one of the largest county jails in the state. Thankfully there is a fully equipped Chapel, which was built in 1999, on the center grounds and semiweekly services are scheduled through the Chaplain.
Religious Volunteer Ministries
The goal of the religious services here at Craighead County Detention Center is to provide spiritual and moral guidence to every inmate and staff member who desires assistance.
Last year alone over 5900 individuals came through the doors at CCDC and over 50% of them voluntarily attended religious services while they were incarcerated here. Many, many lives were touched with the life saving power of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said to him, " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. " - John 14:6 NKJV
